Beijing, June 17 /Xinhua/ — China has decided to provide Africa with a new round of emergency humanitarian aid in connection with the ongoing Ebola outbreak in parts of African regions and countries, an official representative of China’s International Development Cooperation Agency said on Wednesday.

In addition to previous rounds of aid to Africa, the new round of emergency humanitarian assistance includes further support for the Democratic Republic of Congo, funds for the prevention and control of epidemics in Uganda, as well as ongoing support allowing the African Center for Disease Control and Prevention to fully implement its role. All this is aimed at helping Africa defeat the epidemic as soon as possible, reported Tan In.
