Almaty, June 16 /Xin Hua/ — In the section Shieli — Turkestan in the south of Kazakhstan, a fire broke out in one of the carriages of a passenger train running on the Saratov — Almaty route. This was reported on Tuesday by the information agency Kazinform.
According to the information from the passenger railway operator, the incident occurred on June 16 at 12:49 due to technical reasons. Passengers were offered medical assistance, but they refused it.
To eliminate the consequences of the incident and restore movement to the site of the accident, a recovery train was promptly dispatched, and an additional train was appointed for passenger transportation. Boarding and departure were organized on an expedited basis, added the news agency. –0–
