The Bank of Russia on June 16, 2026, issues coins in circulation as part of a numismatic set in souvenir packaging1:
– with a denomination of 1 and 5 kopecks made of steel, plated with a thin layer of copper;
– with a nominal value of 10 and 50 kopecks made of steel with a brass galvanic coating;
– with a face value of 1, 2, and 5 rubles made of steel with a nickel galvanic coating;
– with a nominal value of 10 rubles and made of steel with a brass galvanic coating.
The coin with a denomination of 1 kopeck has a circular shape with a diameter of 15.5 mm, the 5 kopecks denomination – 18.5 mm, the 10 kopecks denomination – 17.5 mm, the 50 kopecks denomination – 19.5 mm, the 1 ruble denomination – 20.5 mm, the 2 rubles denomination – 23.0 mm, the 5 rubles denomination – 25.0 mm, and the 10 rubles denomination – 22.0 mm.
There is a raised rim along the circumference on both the obverse and reverse sides of the coin.
The edge of coins with denominations of 1, 5, 10, and 50 kopecks is smooth; coins with a denomination of 1 ruble have a reeded edge; coins with denominations of 2, 5, and 10 rubles have an interrupted reeded edge.
On the front side:
– The 1, 5, 10, and 50 kopeks coins feature a relief image of Saint George the Victorious on a horse, striking a serpent with a spear, in the center; around the perimeter – the inscription “BANK OF RUSSIA” and the year of issue “2026”; on the right – the letters S-P (Saint Petersburg), indicating the mint – the manufacturer;
– A relief image of the State Emblem of the Russian Federation is placed on the coin with denominations of 1, 2, 5, and 10 rubles. Above it along the edge is the semicircular inscription “РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ” (Russian Federation), framed on both sides by double rhombuses. To the right is the trademark of the Saint Petersburg Mint. Below the emblem in the center, in two lines, is the inscription “БАНК РОССИИ” (Bank of Russia) and the year of issue “2026.”
On the reverse side:
– Coins with denominations of 1, 5, 10, and 50 kopecks in the center in two lines display the denomination markings of the coins – “1 KOPECK”, “5 KOPECKS”, “10 KOPECKS”, and “50 KOPECKS” respectively, below – a stylized image of plant branches;
– coins with denominations of 1, 2, and 5 rubles have in the center in two lines the designation of the coin denomination – “1 РУБЛЬ”, “2 РУБЛЯ”, and “5 РУБЛЕЙ” respectively, on the left and right – a stylized image of plant branches;
– On coins with a denomination of 10 rubles, in the center, in two lines, the denomination marking of the coin is placed – “10 RUBLES” against a field of vertical lines, on the left and right – a stylized image of plant branches. Inside the digit “0” there is a security element in the form of the number “10” and the inscription “RUB”, observable from different viewing angles relative to the plane of the coin.
The quality of coin execution – improved (“brilliant uncirculated”).
Print run of the set – 35.0 thousand pieces.
The coins issued in the numismatic set are legal tender for cash payments in the territory of the Russian Federation and must be accepted at face value in all types of payments without restrictions.
