Los Angeles, June 15 /Xinhua/ — A U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortress bomber, carrying eight people on board, crashed shortly after taking off from Edwards Air Force Base in the Mojave Desert, California on Monday; there were no reports of survivors. This was announced at the base.

The plane took off at 11:20 local time and was performing a routine test flight, the base reported on the X social network.

“According to preliminary data, no one survived the crash,” the base reported.

Emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene of the incident, and officials are searching for all participants involved in the incident.
