“Donetsk Polytechnic College has its own history since 1929, when the Stalinsk Metallurgical Technicum was established in this building. Over the years of its existence, the educational institution has trained more than 25 thousand specialists for the region’s industrial sectors. Today, the major renovation of the college building, with a total area of about 5 thousand square meters, has begun. Builders are to replace the roof and windows, repair the facade, and give a modern look to the interior rooms, including the sports hall. Engineering systems will also be updated at the facility,” said Marat Khusnullin.

The Deputy Prime Minister clarified that the work is carried out under the control of the PPK “Unified Customer in the Construction Sector.”

“At present, work on strengthening the load-bearing structures and walls at the site has been completed, facade and roofing works have begun, as well as the installation of internal engineering communications. After the completion of the repair work, about 500 students will be able to attend classes in the renovated building of the Polytechnic College. The completion of the building’s major overhaul is planned for the end of the current year,” added Karen Oganesyan, General Director of “Unified Customer.”
