Pyeongyang, June 9 /Xinhua/ — General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, Chairman of the PRC Xi Jinping and General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK Kim Jong Un on Tuesday pledged to pass on the great traditional friendship between the two countries from generation to generation.
This happened when Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan visited the Monument of China-Korea Friendship accompanied by Kim Jong Un and his wife Ri Sol Ju.
Si Jinping and Kim Jong Un also noted that the time when China and the DPRK fought side by side in the 1950s is an eternal historical memory shared by both sides.
Leaders have pledged to jointly build memorial structures dedicated to fallen Chinese People’s Volunteers (CPV), implement special programs to strengthen revolutionary traditions and educate youth, as well as to commemorate the great spirit of resistance during the War of Resistance against American Aggression and aid to the Korean people.
