The Museum of Heroes of the Soviet Union and Russia invites you to a screening of the Russian 18-episode TV series “The Great War.” This is a documentary feature film that covers the key events and battles of the Great Patriotic War.
Each of the series is dedicated to a separate large-scale topic: from the defense of the Brest Fortress and the Battle of Moscow to the blockade of Leningrad, the Battle of Stalingrad, the Kursk Bulge, and the capture of Berlin.
The film combines restored and colorized archival footage with modern computer graphics, which allows us to vividly recreate samples of military technology, maps, and tactical schemes.
Large-scale battles are shown from the perspective of participants in the events and reveal the strategic decisions of the Soviet and German commands.
