Bishkek, June 9 /Xin Hua/ — Kyrgyzstan has been excluded from the list of air carriers subject to the ban on flights to the European Union (EU). This was reported on Monday on the official website of the President of Kyrgyzstan.

“The notification from the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission states that all air carriers certified in Kyrgyzstan, excluded from the list of air carriers banned from flying in the EU,” the message says.

It is noted that the decision was made following the results of the meeting of the EU Air Safety Committee in May of this year and will be formalized by the relevant regulations of the European Commission.

Kyrgyzstan has been on this list since 2006.
