A meeting of graduates of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) was held at SPBGASU, who graduated from the university 20 years ago. After two decades, former students gathered again within the walls of their alma mater to see their classmates, recall their years of study, and look at how the university has changed. The graduates were met by the dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management.Galina Tokunova.
For many participants, the meeting became a real journey through time. Familiar auditoriums and corridors evoked vivid memories of student weekdays, exam preparations, term papers and thesis works, as well as people connected with the most important events of that period.

After graduating from SPbGASU, Elena connected her professional activity with the field of geodesy and cartography. Today she works as a cartographer, is engaged in the preparation of topographic maps and technical documentation, interacts with government structures, and participates in the examination of projects being designed.
According to the graduate, the knowledge gained at the university found application in her professional activities. “The knowledge I acquired here really came in handy. When you go to work, you always need practice, but without a theoretical foundation, you won’t get anywhere,” noted Elena Petrovskaya.
Special impressions on the guests were made by the changes that have occurred at the university in recent years. Graduates were able to see the updated spaces and modern infrastructure. “The external appearance of the institute has changed very much. It has become clean, neat, beautiful, and modern. It is clear that the university is developing in step with the times. This is inspiring,” shared Elena Petrovskaya.
Speaking about today’s student, a graduate wished for them not only to have a responsible attitude towards their studies but also to boldly seek their professional calling. “The most important thing is to find your path. Don’t be afraid to change direction if you realize that something else interests you. It’s important to do what you like, then everything else will definitely fall into place,” she believes.
The alumni meeting gave them the opportunity not only to remember the past but also to see what SPbSASU has become today. For many guests, the university remains an important part of life, a place associated with the years of formation, professional choice, and genuine friendship.

“Everyone will always want to come back here. We had an amazing group, interesting teachers, a rich student life. The institute occupied a huge place in our lives, and those years are impossible to forget,” emphasized Elena Petrovskaya.
The meeting became yet another confirmation that the years of study at SPbGASU remain an important part of the graduates’ lives. Despite the past decades, the university continues to unite people for whom it has become a place of professional development, friendship, and vivid memories.
