“KAMAZ”, together with the plant “UralSpecTrans”, has introduced a new model of fuel tanker ATZ-18-2 UST 5453 on the KAMAZ-65959 chassis of the newest K5 generation to the market.
The fuel truck is intended for the transportation and short-term storage of light petroleum products. The vehicle is designed for transporting large volumes of fuel off-road and is intended for operation in regions with harsh conditions. This model meets all the requirements of ADR (the agreement on the international carriage of dangerous goods by road).
The new model is based on the all-wheel drive single-axle chassis KAMAZ of the fifth generation with a 6×6 wheel formula. The powerful modern economical KAMAZ R6 engine with a capacity of 483 hp and a 16-speed mechanical gearbox provide the vehicle with excellent dynamic qualities and fuel economy. In turn, the 16.00R20 all-terrain tires guarantee high cross-country ability, which is especially important for work in the oil and gas industry.
The updated low cab on a four-point spring suspension provides increased comfort for the driver even when working on rough terrain. The cab frame is reinforced and, due to its strength characteristics, exceeds modern safety requirements. As for the cab interior, it is designed with high ergonomic standards: all key control elements, including the emergency alarm buttons, cabin lighting, cooler, and parking brake, are grouped on the instrument panel within the driver’s direct reach.A modern multimedia system with a 10-inch diagonal touchscreen display and climate control system controls is also installed here.
Special attention during the development of new products is paid to the strength and reliability of the superstructure. The capacities of “suitcase” section tanks are made from high-quality carbon steel 09G2S. The capacity is 18 cubic meters, compartments – 2. The distribution of petroleum products is carried out using a SVN-80 pump, the drive is hydraulic, operating from the power take-off (PTO) of the vehicle gearbox.
