New York, June 7 /Xin Hua/ — At least 12 people were injured on Saturday afternoon during a shooting near the site of a city festival in Toledo, Ohio, USA, two of them in critical condition.
Apparently, there were at least two people who, “probably, shot at each other,” said Toledo Deputy Police Chief Joe Heffernan. The police are searching for suspects and advise the public to avoid areas around the scene of the incident.
Employees of the Toledo Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the area of the Old West End festival at around 17:37 local time and found numerous victims. The wounded were taken to the hospital for medical assistance.
The Old West End Festival is a two-day event featuring live music, farmers’ markets, tours, and shopping.
