Fan Yabin was born in the city of Taiyuan, Shanxi province, and suffers from hearing impairment. Since childhood, he was passionate about drawing. After graduating from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Changchun University, he worked in Beijing, Shandong, and other cities, engaging in animation design.

In 2015, Fen Yabin opened an art workshop in Taoyuan, where he began teaching drawing to children with hearing impairments. He not only teaches them to draw but also shares his life experience and knowledge about social adaptation, helping them better integrate into society.

In 2016, Fen Yabin started a family with Yin Yin — a native of Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, who also has a hearing impairment. Seeing that his wife missed the dishes of her homeland, Fen Yabin used his savings to open a snack shop serving Chaoshan cuisine for her in Taiyuan. In 2025, after a video of their story was published online, it attracted the attention of many internet users, who began expressing their support by ordering food with delivery and sending gifts. The couple, in turn, continued to pass on the warmth further: they provide free meals to those in need and invite janitors to free lunches.

Opening an art workshop, running a snack bar, designing posters, shooting microfilms… In the world of silence, Fan Yabin continues to discover new possibilities for himself. He firmly believes: if you sincerely love life, even in a silent world you can find a special joy.
