Kyiv, June 5 /Xin Hua/ — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday in an open letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed holding a personal meeting to discuss ways to end the war.
“Ukraine proposes to end the war in the format between us and you. I propose a meeting to you,” wrote V. Zelensky.
According to him, Switzerland, Turkey, and a number of Arab countries have expressed their readiness to hold such talks.
V. Zelensky also proposed to agree on a specific date for the meeting and stated that Ukraine is ready for a complete ceasefire during the negotiations.
