From June 6 to September 20, a series of events will take place in Moscow“Friend, rescuer, defender”, aimed at dog and cat owners as well as those planning to get a four-legged pet. “The program will include about 300 events in various formats: from expert lectures to competitions. Participants will be able to learn more about dog care and especially the features of training depending on the breed,” noted Natalya Sergunina.
The season will open with the championship of the Russian Cynological Federation in agility (overcoming an obstacle course for speed), which is being organized for the third time. Representatives not only from Moscow but also pet owners and those caring for animals from Tatarstan, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Tver, and other regions of our country will compete for titles. In addition to competitions, there will be veterinary consultations, photo sessions, children’s master classes on making toys for pets, and other activities planned here.
On Cynologist’s Day, June 21, at the same venue, guests will see demonstration performances with dogs involved in search operations and assisting law enforcement officers. Everyone interested will be told about the methods of training four-legged partners, as well as which breeds are best suited for training.
Since 2021, within the framework of the “Pets in Moscow” project, the capital has equipped104 modern spacesfor walking with dogs. And visitors over several months can expect a rich program, including meetings with experts and open training sessions. Veterinarians and cynologists will provide recommendations on the proper care and upbringing of pets, grooming specialists will offer neat haircuts for animals, and photographers will take souvenir photos.
