Al-Kuwait, June 3 /Xin Hua/ — The Main Directorate of Civil Aviation of Kuwait announced on Wednesday on the social network X about the resumption of all Kuwait Airways flights through Terminal T4 of Kuwait International Airport after the alleged Iranian attack, which resulted in one person killed and 63 others injured.
As noted, the decision was made after extensive field inspections and technical assessments by specialized groups and relevant authorities to check the operational readiness of the terminal and its ability to safely accept flights and passengers.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait reported that one person was killed and several were wounded as a result of strikes by ballistic missiles and drones on targets across the country, including Kuwait International Airport. The authorities blamed Iran for these attacks.
The UN Security Council strongly condemned the “ongoing Iranian attacks” targeting critical civilian infrastructure.
Later on the same day, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health reported 63 wounded. The official representative of the department, Abdullah al-Sanad, noted that emergency measures were taken to provide assistance to the injured.
Among the wounded are civilians, airport staff, and passengers, he said. According to A. al-Sanad, the injured suffered fractures, traumatic brain injuries, cerebral hemorrhages, and wounds related to the explosions. There are cases of limb loss and smoke poisoning.
