The United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday elected Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid as the president of its 81st session, which will begin in September this year. El Niño

According to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the probability of its formation already this summer is 80 percent, and the likelihood that it will last at least until November exceeds 90 percent. Experts warn: due to El Niño, the risk of extreme heat, drought, heavy rainfall, and other dangerous weather events increases. The cause of these changes was unusually warm waters in the tropical part of the Pacific Ocean.
