The Tourism Development Department of Sanya City, Hainan Province, announced that from May 17 to 20, the department, together with a group from Hainan Airports, conducted a group trip to Kazakhstan and Russia, visiting local leading airlines, hub airports, and leading cultural and tourism enterprises. At the same time, representatives from the city ofSanya signed a memorandum of cooperation with Kazakhstani airlines and tourist enterprises on the opening of the Sanya-Shymkent route, according to which the parties will coordinate resources and activate communications to accelerate the preparation for the launch of the route.
Vladimir Sytnik, vice president of the airline Scat Airlines, stated that the company is actively promoting deepened cooperation with the international airport Sanya ‘Phoenix’ and is further implementing a number of joint aviation initiatives. As the development of cross-border air routes accelerates, the Hainan air corridor with Central Asian countries will continue to expand, significantly increasing the convenience of travel between the two regions and attracting more tourists from Central Asia to Hainan and Sanya.
In Russia, the Sanya Tourism Development Department, together with a group of Hainan airports, held intensive meetings with key airports and airlines, including “EVA Air”, Sheremetyevo Airport, and “Aeroflot”. It also jointly opened the Sanya (Moscow) partnership tourist office with “Aeroflot”. Relying on this office, Sanya will create an effective platform for promotion and popularization in Moscow and throughout the Russian-speaking region, comprehensively advertising its high-quality cultural and tourist resources, including beach vacations, duty-free shopping, folk customs, wellness, and recreational tourism.
