Rome, June 2 /China News/ — An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 occurred off the coast of the southern Italian region of Calabria on Tuesday morning, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology of Italy reported.
The earthquake occurred at 00:12 local time on Tuesday / 22:12 GMT on Monday, its epicenter was located at a depth of about 250 kilometers, the institute reported.
Underground tremors were felt in several southern regions of Italy, including Calabria, Sicily, Campania, and Apulia, local media reported.
No victims or serious damage have been reported so far. Local authorities are monitoring the situation.
