On June 1st, Russia celebrates International Children’s Day. Attention to the younger generation and care for its future are manifested, among other things, through the creation of comfortable and modern preschool institutions. This work is carried out with the involvement of funds from infrastructural, budgetary, and special treasury credits.

“Today a comprehensive effort is underway to create and modernize infrastructure aimed at the needs of children and their families. Special attention is given to the construction of new kindergartens and schools, as well as the renovation of existing educational institutions. We strive to create modern spaces with a well-thought-out environment that directly influences the harmonious development of the child. The implementation of childhood infrastructure projects, including, is carried out with the help of budget loan mechanisms.”A total of 38 preschools have been closed since 2022,” reported Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

The First Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services Alexander Lomakin emphasized that new institutions are equipped with interactive equipment, transformable furniture, equipment for early study of natural sciences, and robotics.

“Creating such a safe and accessible infrastructure for preschoolers is one of the key tasks of the national project ‘Infrastructure for Life.’ The mechanism of infrastructural budget loans allows us to build and equip kindergartens comprehensively, while simultaneously addressing the issue of queue elimination and forming a modern educational environment. Among the projects already completed is a kindergarten for 115 places in the Rybnoe in Ryazan region, one for 280 places in Yevpatoria of the Republic of Crimea, and one for 140 places in the Traktorozavodsky district of Volgograd,” noted Aleksandr Lomakin.

General Director of the Territorial Development Fund Vasily Kupyzin reported that work continues on 11 sites in the Amur, Belgorod, Vladimir, Kursk, Moscow, Ryazan, Smolensk regions, the Chuvash Republic, and the Sakha Republic (Yakutia).

“Specialists continue the reconstruction of the kindergarten in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, the construction of a kindergarten in Ussuriysk, the erection of a preschool institution for 140 places in Kursk, for 224 places in Ryazan, for 180 places in Cheboksary and other cities. Thanks to the new facilities, the shortage of places in kindergartens is reduced, new jobs are created, and the attractiveness of residential neighborhoods for young families is increased,” said Vasily Kupyzin.

The Ministry of Construction acts as the curator of budget loans, and the Territorial Development Fund participates in the implementation of projects.
