Yerevan, June 1 /Xin Hua/ — The solemn opening of the first artificial intelligence factory in Armenia /AI/ took place on Monday in the village of Gagarin in the east of the country.

The factory was built by the company Eleveight AI. At the opening ceremony, as reported by the company’s press service, the co-founder and CEO of the company, Arman Aleksanyan, stated that the first NVIDIA Blackwell B300 AI complex in the region is designed for performing large-scale computations in the field of artificial intelligence, model training, business application development, as well as scientific and engineering problem solving.

At the first stage, 120 million US dollars were invested in the project. Modern infrastructure was built using NVIDIA’s reference architecture standards, which means that international technology companies and research groups can move and launch their AI projects in Armenia without additional problems with technical integration.

Eleveight AI plans to provide 20 percent of its computing power to Armenian universities, research centers, and nonprofit initiatives for the implementation of local talent potential and the promotion of scientific innovations.
