Jerusalem, May 31 /Xin Hua/ — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video statement recorded on Sunday that he has given orders to the military to take deeper and broader pressures on the Lebanese areas held by the Hezbollah movement.
Earlier, Israeli forces captured the Beaufort Child in southern Lebanon, including a strategically important fortress at its summit. This territory, located beyond the “security zone” that Israel has maintained since the ceasefire regime came into effect in mid-April.
B. Netanyahu announced that after his order to expand the operation in Lebanon, Israeli forces crossed the Litani River and occupied key points in the area, including Beaufort.
