Tashkent, May 30 /Xin Hua/ — Uzbekistan’s mobile operator Ucell and the Chinese corporation ZTE announced the completion of a large-scale commercial deployment of an energy-efficient green network solution based on artificial intelligence /AI/ from ZTE in Uzbekistan’s telecommunications network.

The implemented system uses AI technologies for dynamic optimization of the network’s energy consumption depending on the current load. At the level of individual base stations and cells, the solution automatically activates energy-saving modes during periods of low traffic, ensuring uninterrupted service and stable communication quality.

According to company data, the network energy efficiency indicator increased by 10.6%. Modernization allows transmitting a larger volume of data at the same energy consumption level, which reduces operating costs and the carbon footprint.

As noted by Ucell CEO Andrey Shishkovsky, this project allows combining digital transformation with environmental responsibility. He emphasized that the implementation of the intellectual solution became an important step towards reducing the carbon footprint and improving operational efficiency, already bringing practical benefits both to the business and to the environment. –0–
