Washington, May 28 /Xin Hua/ — Negotiators from the USA and Iran have reached an agreement on a memorandum of understanding, providing for the extension of the ceasefire regime for 60 days and the start of negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program, however, US President Donald Trump has not yet given his final approval. This was reported on Thursday by the news portal Axios, citing American officials and a regional source.

According to the report, American negotiators informed D. Trump about the details of the final deal, but he did not immediately confirm it.

“The president told the intermediaries that he needs a couple of days to think it over,” the portal quotes the American official’s words.

Iran has also not yet confirmed its agreement, but according to a message citing American officials, Iranian negotiators stated that they have received preliminary approvals and are ready to sign the document. –0–
