Beijing, May 28 /Xinhua/ — The official representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mao Ning, expressed concern on Thursday regarding the approval by the Japanese parliament of the bill on the creation of the National Intelligence Council.

It is assumed that the chairman of the council will be the Prime Minister of Japan, and its operational subdivision will be the National Intelligence Bureau. The council is intended to unite the country’s dispersed intelligence services under a single management.

The Chinese side is concerned about the development of events that sparked disputes and doubts both within Japan itself and beyond its borders, Mao Ning said at a regular press briefing.

Historically, it happened that Japanese special services helped the country to embark on the path of militarism and aggressive wars, committing countless crimes against neighboring countries in Asia and the Japanese people themselves, said the diplomat, urging the Japanese leadership to learn lessons from history and act prudently.
