SPBGASU Exhibition
Within the framework of the International Children’s Automobile and Road Forum (DAF-2026), held at the VII International Transport Festival “Transportfest-2026”, a project session “Autoevolution: from development to implementation” took place. Student projects in the field of automobile transport, promising for further implementation in cooperation with industry partners, were presented there.
Students and graduate students of SPBGASU presented developments aimed at solving such topical problems in the field of automobile transport as digitalization, diagnostics, and transport planning.
Online system of predictive analytics for the technical condition of cars
One of the key projects was an online system for predictive analytics of the technical condition of cars, presented by a master’s student of the first course in the program “Applied Mechanics”Anton Veselov, bachelor’s degree in the fourth year in the field of “Operation of Transport-Technological Machines and Complexes”Artyom TimofeevиDmitry Einom.
Pilot sample of the system – “SmartUAZ”
The development is aimed at creating an intelligent telematics system capable of predicting the technical condition of vehicles based on the analysis of data received from the car in real time. The authors proposed a hybrid architecture combining neural network models, expert algorithms, and a cloud platform for data storage and processing. The system can reduce fleet maintenance costs, minimize technical failures, and increase the efficiency of vehicle operation.
Steering rack diagnostic stand with power steering
The diagnostic stand for steering racks with an electric power steering actuator, developed by fourth-year bachelor’s students specializing in “Operation of Transport and Technological Machines and Complexes,” attracted great interest from participants and experts.Denis TrubinиBy Semyon Sharovarov.
The team presented the concept of a universal diagnostic stand that allows comprehensive testing of the mechanical and electronic parts of the power steering system outside the vehicle’s onboard network. The development is aimed at a maintenance station and an aggregate repair enterprise.
According to the authors, the use of the stand will significantly reduce the diagnostic time, increase the accuracy of fault detection, and decrease the number of repeated repairs.
Algorithm for analyzing the quality of transport services
The project “Algorithm for analyzing the quality of public transportation services with priority for urban surface electric transport”, presented by a bachelor’s fourth-year student specializing in “Technology of transport processes”by Ivan Beshentsev,Dedicated to issues of transport planning and assessment of the effectiveness of route networks.
Ivan Beshensev talks about his project
The developed algorithm allows analyzing the quality of transport services taking into account the territorial development of cities, passenger flows, and the state of infrastructure. Special attention in the project is given to the development of urban electric transport and improving the efficiency of using existing infrastructure.
The project is aimed at application within the framework of transport reforms and can be used for making decisions in the field of passenger transportation organization.
Tracked electric all-terrain vehicle
The project session presentation of the tracked electric all-terrain vehicle, developed by a graduate student studying the scientific specialty “Operation of Motor Vehicles,” has been completed.Evgeny Trofimovand a graduate of our universityVitaliy Vasiliev.
Vitaly Vasilyev presents the developed ubiquitous network
The authors presented an electric all-terrain vehicle, created based on a serial chassis with the use of domestic components. The car is equipped with a lithium-ion battery and an electric drive transmission of own production.
The project is designed for operation in harsh road and climatic conditions and can find application both in the civil sector and in specialized industries.
Experts noted a high level of project preparation, its practical orientation, and potential for further implementation. Special attention was paid to the issues of interaction with industrial partners, the economic elaboration of projects, and the possibilities for scaling developments.
