Beijing, May 27 /Xinhua/ — China firmly supports Cuba in defending its sovereignty, security, and developmental interests, said Mao Ning, an official spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Wednesday.
She made such a statement at another departmental press conference, when she was asked to comment on the fact that the Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez condemned the escalation of military threats by the USA against Cuba on Tuesday at a meeting of the UN Security Council at a high level.
Mao Nin noted that China always stands for respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries, opposes the use or threat of use of force in international relations, as well as encroachment on the sovereignty of other countries or interference in internal affairs under any pretext.
