Dushanbe, May 27 /Xinhua/ — At the 4th International High-Level Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development” /2018-2028/, held in the capital of Tajikistan, the Dushanbe Declaration was adopted on Wednesday. This was reported by the Prime Minister of Tajikistan, Kokhir Rasulzoda.
He added that as a result of the event, summaries of the co-chairs and a document on the contribution of the Dushanbe water process to the UN Water Conference 2026 will also be prepared and presented.
These documents contain key recommendations and practical guidelines aimed at strengthening international cooperation, promoting partnership, and accelerating the fulfillment of obligations in the field of water resources.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the results of the conference will make a significant contribution to the further implementation of the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development,” as well as to the preparation for the UN Water Conference in 2026 and the final UN Water Conference in 2028. –0–
