Useful gifts, the joy of victory, and many applauses: this is exactly how the ceremonial conclusion of the 2025/2026 sports season at GUU took place.
On May 25, the rector of the State University of Management Vladimir Stroev met with the athletes and coaches of GUM to sum up the season and award the achieved results.
“Much has been done this year, the teams have grown both in results and in media coverage. The driving force was the hockey players, now the others have caught up. We watch all our guys’ achievements with interest and pride. This is important for you and for the university as a whole. Of course, all participants always expect first place, but for me as a leader it is no less important that all teams develop and popularize the sport and the alma mater,” admitted Vladimir Stroev.
Vitaly Lapshenkov, the Vice-Rector of GOU, congratulated the guys on their sports achievements.
“You are incredible! We follow the achievements through the official channel and, even if we physically cannot always attend the games, at the rectorate we regularly discuss the competition results and rejoice in your performances. I want to wish you new victories, but most importantly, that everything goes without injuries,” concluded Vitaliy Lapshenkov.

- For the successful preparation of the men’s basketball team – Egor Khmelnikov.
Awards were also received by those who ensured the uninterrupted operation of the team throughout the year: Darya Shtyryn, Elena Ivanova, Nadezhda Efimenko, Darya Logunova, Darya Tomilina.
The main heroes of the meeting were undoubtedly our athletes, who won awards in various sports ranging from hockey and football to knife throwing and esports disciplines.
