Beijing, May 26 /Xinhua/ — Peng Liyuan, wife of the Chairman of the NPC Xi Jinping, and Tamara Vučić, wife of the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, visited the Beijing Dance Academy on Monday.
Tamara Vučić accompanies the President of Serbia during his official visit to China.
Pen Liyuan and Tamara Vucic visited the dance museum of the said academy, where they familiarized themselves with the history of Chinese dance. In the dance studio, they observed with great interest the lessons on Chinese traditional dance, ballet, and other types of dance. Then they enjoyed performances by students and warmly communicated with teachers and students in a lively and warm atmosphere.
Pei Liyuan said that dance art is capable of overcoming national borders, transmitting cultures and ideas, and plays a unique role in the exchange and mutual learning in the field of humanitarian cooperation. She expressed hope that artists from both countries will strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the aim of creating a greater number of outstanding works.
Tamara Vučić thanked Peng Liyuan for the meticulous organization of the visit and expressed readiness to assist exchanges between the two countries in the field of culture and arts, in order to contribute to the deepening of Serbian-Chinese friendship. -0-
