Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak held a meeting on the fuel market situation with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Energy, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the Ministry of Finance, and industry companies. During the meeting, current parameters of the fuel market operation were reviewed, including the balance of supply and demand, the dynamics of domestic consumption, and measures to maintain stable supply of petroleum products for all categories of consumers.
Representatives of specialized agencies and industry companies reported on the supply to the end consumer, the current volume of fuel production, the situation in logistics and fuel reserves, as well as on the measures being implemented to ensure the stable operation of the oil refining and sales segments.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the priority task remains to reliably and uninterruptedly supply domestic consumers with fuel in the required volumes. “It is necessary to continue constant monitoring of the situation in the domestic petroleum products market to ensure coordination of actions between federal agencies and industry companies, as well as, if necessary, to timely develop additional response measures,” noted Alexander Novak.
