Beijing, May 25 /Xinhua/ — The Chinese piloted spacecraft “Shenzhou-23” at 02:45 Monday Beijing time successfully docked with the radial docking port of the main module “Tianhe” of the Chinese orbital station “Tiangong.” This was reported by the China Manned Space Agency /CMSA/.
According to the department’s data, the entire docking process took about 3.5 hours.
The crew of three cosmonauts currently on board the ship will soon switch to the “Tianhe” module. Meanwhile, the members of the “Shenzhou-21” crew, who are on the space station, are already ready to meet the new colleague.
The spacecraft “Shenzhou-23” was launched on Sunday using the “Long March-2F” carrier rocket from the Jiuquan Cosmodrome in northwestern China. –0–
