Beijing, May 22 /Xin Hua/ — Various countries of the Asia-Pacific region must maintain heightened vigilance, decisively oppose the reckless steps of Japanese neo-militarism, and jointly protect peace and order in the region, official representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Go Cziakun, stated on Friday.

A Chinese diplomat made this statement at another departmental press conference, commenting on a request from journalists about a project of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, which involves increasing defense spending.
