With congratulations, the Chairman of the Committee on Legislation of the Legislative Assembly of Saint Petersburg, Chairman of the Council of Municipal Formations of Saint Petersburg Vsevolod Belikov spoke. He presented letters of gratitude from the Legislative Assembly to the employees of the institute.

For us, IPMET is not just an institute, but an important partner in the development of the city and in training future managers. Many of the institute’s projects are already helping to shape the agenda of the municipal community and the legislative authority of St. Petersburg. It is especially valuable that the teachers and students of IPMET are actively involved in solving real problems related to the development of the city and the country.I have repeatedly had to meet with the institute’s students, participate in joint events, and each time this gives new ideas, impetus for work, and confidence that the Polytechnic has a strong, talented, and caring generation of professionals growing up. IPMEIT is confidently developing, with the early main thing being the connection between education, science, and practice,” said Vsevolod Belikov.

Head of the Department of Evaluation and Personnel Reserves of the Committee of State Service and Personnel Policy of the Administration of the Governor of Saint Petersburg Sergey Svechnikov presented letters of gratitude from the Vice-Governor of Saint Petersburg to the employees of the institute.

The Institute of Industrial Management, Economics and Trade of SPbPU today is one of the key centers for training personnel for the system of state and municipal management in Saint Petersburg. It is especially important that IPMEiT not only prepares highly qualified specialists, but also implements projects oriented towards the future. Thanks to joint initiatives within the framework of the career guidance project “Smolny School,” more than 180 schoolchildren have already become acquainted with the basics of civil service and gained their first experience participating in a specialized educational program.I am confident that it is these very projects that are shaping a new generation of proactive, responsible, and professional managers who will develop our city and country. I thank the institute’s team for their contribution to staff training, their active civic stance, and fruitful cooperation with the government of Saint Petersburg,” Sergey Anatolyevich noted.

Yubilyar was congratulated by the head of the construction, investment and land use department of the administration of the Kalininsky district of Saint Petersburg, Alexander Balakirev: The Institute of Industrial Management, Economics and Trade has for many years remained not only a large educational and scientific center, but also an important part of the development of our district and Saint Petersburg. IPMET today is a federal-level structure that makes a serious contribution to personnel training, the development of science, the educational environment, and city initiatives. We are proud that Politeh and IPMET are located in the territory of the Kalininsky district, and are confident that our cooperation will only strengthen. I wish the institute further development, new achievements, talented students, and the realization of all planned goals for the benefit of the city and the country.

Alexander Balakirev presented letters of gratitude to the employees of the Kalininsky District administration.

Denis Usanov, Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg Transport Committee, gave a congratulatory speech and also presented a letter of gratitude from the Chairman of the Transport Committee to the institute’s staff.

Cooperation between IPMET and the Committee on Transport of Saint Petersburg has become truly systematic and effective in recent years. Today, graduates of the institute successfully work in the city’s transport system, occupying leadership positions among others. What once began as separate joint projects has now turned into a full-fledged strategic partnership. It is especially important that this movement is bilateral: the university prepares in-demand specialists, while city structures provide students with opportunities for professional growth and practical implementation.I am confident that even more joint initiatives and larger projects await us ahead.

Along with the congratulations addressed to the institute, German Shatsky, head of the Interregional Department of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service for the Northwestern Federal District, Alexander Dvoinikov, General Director of the Directorate of Scientific and Technical Programs, and Kirill Shemetovich, Deputy Manager of the business group DO “Udelny” of Bank VTB, also spoke. Representatives of the strategic partners of IPMET noted the high level of specialist training, the importance of joint projects, and the institute’s contribution to the development of science, economics, and professional education.

Representatives of TGK-1 — personnel director Evgenia Kvint and head of the training center of the “Nevsky” branch, head of the personnel development department Viktoria Plotnikova — presented the institute with a commemorative gift: a painting depicting the Volga Hydroelectric Power Station.

The first rector of SPbPU Vitaly Sergeev presented honorary certificates of the university to the institute staff.

A modern economist and manager is no longer a narrow specialist, but a broad-profile professional who must understand both technologies and business processes, as well as new tools, including digital solutions and artificial intelligence. Today, it is especially important to be able to see the perspective, understand the company’s subject area, and make balanced managerial decisions. IPMEIT is just preparing such specialists — proactive, flexible, capable of proposing new ideas and implementing them in practice. It is evident that a significant portion of new projects and solutions at the university are generated precisely in the economic and managerial fields. I am confident that the institute’s students have great opportunities for growth, and they will be able to confidently integrate into science, technology, and the real economic sector,

Vice-Rector for Educational Activities Lyudmila Pankova presented letters of gratitude to the employees of SPbPU.

For me, it is especially valuable to see how the institute has grown over these years and preserved the main thing — a strong academic school and a living connection between teachers and students. I clearly remember what educational programs started with, and today I proudly note that students confidently handle non-standard economic tasks, are able to think flexibly and apply knowledge in real conditions. This speaks of a high level of training and a correctly chosen direction of development.IPMEIT today is not just an educational platform, but an institute whose opinion is listened to in the professional community, including in the formation of new educational standards and economic specialties. I am confident that much joint work and new achievements lie ahead of us.

The colleagues also congratulated the director of the SPbPU institutes.

“IPMET today is not just one of the largest institutes of Politec, but a true leader that sets the pace for the development of modern engineering and economic education,— noted the director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Transport of SPbPU Anatoly Popovich. —It is especially important that the institute maintains close ties with technical training directions, combining fundamental economics, management, and real industrial tasks. It is precisely this approach that is in demand today. Behind these achievements stands the enormous work of the institute’s team, teachers, and leadership. It is evident how IPMET is constantly developing: creating new spaces, laboratories, educational projects, and forming a modern university environment. I am confident that the institute still has many large-scale initiatives and new victories ahead.

The concluding word was given by the director of IPMEIT, Vladimir Shchepinin: For us, it was very important that this day became a true celebration for the entire institute. It seems that not long ago we were just beginning this path, and today IPMEIT is already marking its tenth anniversary, summing up serious results and building new plans for the future. The main value of the institute is its people. I was lucky to work with a team that knows how not only to generate ideas, but also to bring them to results, create real projects, and push the institute forward. It is important that alongside us all these years have been our partners — representatives of business, government bodies, universities, and professional communities. Together we work towards one goal — training specialists who will be in demand, useful to their country, city, university, and society. I am confident that ahead, IPMET has many large-scale projects, new achievements, and bright victories.

The ceremonial part of the event concluded with the performance of the SPbPU anthem. After the official program for the guests, a festive buffet was organized, and the culmination of the evening was a concert featuring soloists from the Mariinsky Theatre and the St. Petersburg Theatre of Musical Comedy. Musical scenes from operettas were presented by the Mariinsky Theatre soloist Ksenia Grigoryeva, as well as laureates of international competitions — soloists of the St. Petersburg Theatre of Musical Comedy Vladimir Sadkov and Igor Shumaev.
