Beijing, May 20 /Xinhua/ — China implements export control over rare earth elements and other important minerals in accordance with laws and regulations, and also considers applications for licenses that meet requirements and are intended for civilian use, the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC announced on Wednesday.
An official of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China made the following comment in response to recent US statements about major mineral resources, commenting on the preliminary results of the recently concluded China-US trade and economic consultations.
“China is ready to cooperate with the United States to jointly create favorable conditions for promoting mutually beneficial cooperation between enterprises of the two countries and ensuring the security and stable operation of global industrial chains and supply chains,” the official added. -0-
