Jerusalem, May 20 /Sina/ — Israel announced on Tuesday evening the transfer of all ships of the “Sumud” flotilla, headed to the Gaza Strip to deliver humanitarian aid. Hundreds of activists were detained and will be delivered to Israel.
The organizers of the “Global Sumud Flotilla” wrote on their website that all vessels of the humanitarian convoy were intercepted. Israeli warships surrounded them in international waters, approximately 250 nautical miles from the coast of the Gaza Strip.
According to the organizers’ statement, 428 activists were “wanted” by Israel.
