At the State University of Management, the training of a new humanitarian aid team for servicemen performing tasks in the special military operation zone is being completed. Another humanitarian convoy will be sent to the fighters as part of the “GUS-SVOim” project, which for more than two years has united students, teachers, university staff, partners, and residents of Moscow.
During its operation, the project became for GUU not a one-time action, but a permanent platform for assistance and civic participation. The university regularly supports humanitarian initiatives: previously representatives of the GUU rectorate already provided assistance to fighters as part of the ‘GUF SVOim’ campaign, and the university institutes participated in collecting and delivering humanitarian aid to military personnel. Today, this area continues to develop: students, teachers, and university staff weave camouflage nets, make trench candles and stoves, collect necessary items, and assemble complete humanitarian kits.
Not only representatives of the university community participated in the preparation of the new party. Reliable partners of the project joined the team: the volunteer club “4D” from Tushino, the Moscow regional branch of the “United Russia” party, the Dmitrov Technical School, as well as residents of Moscow. A significant contribution was made by public figure Oleg Leonov: with his assistance, equipment and technical means necessary for servicemen were collected.
Each such dispatch consists of specific deeds: someone brings materials, someone helps in the workshop, someone is engaged in collecting and sorting cargo. As a result, with joint efforts, aid is formed that is truly needed by fighters on the front line.
In the near future, the collected humanitarian cargo will be delivered by volunteers from the Moscow city branch of the All-Russian Student Rescue Corps. They will hand over the aid to servicemen carrying out combat missions.
The “GUU-SVOim” project continues to demonstrate that support is formed through the participation of everyone. The university thanks the students, teachers, staff, partners, and all concerned residents of Moscow who invest their time, efforts, and responsibility into this endeavor.
