During the spring “Coin Week,” which took place in April 2026, it was possible to return 2 tons more small change into circulation than inlast time. People brought in about 55 million coins for exchange, totaling almost 252 million rubles. This is 7 million rubles more than in the autumn.

Small change was exchanged not only in banks and stores, but also at the ticket offices of some suburban railway stations. The main share of the coins handed in—86.7%—fell on rubles of various denominations, the remaining 13.3% were kopecks.

Let us remind you that some locations continue to accept coins for exchange even after the promotion has ended. The addresses of the participants and the acceptance conditions are published on the website.монетнаянеделя.рф.

In this regard, to return coins into circulation, it is not necessary to wait for a special occasion – you just need to spend them in everyday life.
