Moscow, May 19 /Xin Hua/ — The holding of the 10th anniversary Russia-China EXPO — the largest bilateral exhibition event — has truly symbolic significance for Russia and China. This was announced on Tuesday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
The 10th China-Russia Expo will be held from May 17 to 21 in the city of Harbin, Heilongjiang Province / Northeast China/.
“In recent years, it has gained the status of the most important platform for dialogue between regions and business circles of two countries, becoming an effective barometer of business activity.The uniqueness of this exhibition is emphasized by the fact that it is held under the sign of the 25th anniversary of the founding Treaty on Good-neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of partnership relations and strategic interaction,” the Russian foreign affairs department indicated in response to the relevant question concerning the expectations of the Russian side from the mentioned EXPO.
As noted by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the business program of EXPO, which annually includes a whole series of specialized discussions on various topics, is dedicated to the most urgent issues: from the gradual deepening of scientific and technological cooperation to the introduction of advanced solutions in industry and the joint strengthening of technological sovereignty.
“We are confident that the innovative developments presented at the pavilion will become a powerful stimulus for the systemic modernization of the economies of the two states and for the formation of future economic standards. We anticipate that the 10th Russia-China EXPO will allow expanding practical interaction between the business communities of our countries in such areas as energy, high technology, digitalization, mechanical engineering, transport and logistics,” the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
The department also noted that Russian agro-industrial enterprises regularly participate in the EXPO, supplying food and agricultural products to China.
“For more than a year, the Expo “On the Fields” has been hosting a fair of goods “Made in Russia,” providing Chinese partners with a huge selection of high-quality domestic food products. Economic and investment potentials of our regions are presented on a large scale. It is believed that direct contacts at the level of regional administrations will give an additional impetus to the entire complex of bilateral interaction,” the Russian foreign policy agency added. –0–
