Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev held the first meeting of the Interagency Working Group on seismic safety issues. It was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Irina Yarovaya, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the scientific community.
Dmitry Patrushev noted that the working group will become a unified platform for exchanging opinions and developing recommendations. Moreover, it will help in organizing effective coordination of processes between the interested departments.
The meeting participants considered the current system of seismic safety provision, monitoring and forecasting, the relevance of the regulatory framework and zoning maps.
The creation of an interdepartmental working group on seismic safety issues was initiated based on the resultsMeetings of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with deputies of the “United Russia” faction in 2026.
