The final of the professional skills championship “Professionals” in the competencies of the creative industries and IT will be held in Nizhny Novgorod from May 27 to June 1, 2026, at the federal technology park of professional education. Organizer – Ministry of Education with the support of the Government, federal operator – Institute for the Development of Professional Education, regional organizer – Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The final of the “Professionals” championship in IT and creative industries competencies will take place within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children.” The event will bring together more than 8 thousand people: contestants, experts, participants of the business and educational program. In Nizhny Novgorod, finalists will compete in 12 competencies, important for achieving technological leadership — the national goal set by President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.Winners will receive cash prizes, gifts, benefits upon admission, and internships with domestic employers,” emphasized Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
The solemn opening ceremony of the championship final will take place on May 27 at the MTS Live Hall. The competitive program starts on May 28. In the main category, college and technical school students will demonstrate their skills in the ‘Basic’ category. Within the final, there will also be competitions in the industrial category, where young specialists of profile industries will showcase their expertise, as well as in the international category, where representatives of friendly countries will participate.
“Today, the Ministry of Education’s task is to build a modern personnel training system in colleges and technical schools that is as closely aligned as possible with the demands of the real economic sector. All the competencies of the ‘Professionals’ movement are developed together with employers – 10 thousand partner enterprises participate in this work. The ‘Professionals’ movement has created a unique professional community where contestants demonstrate their skills, interact with representatives of the relevant industry, and work on real tasks, while their mentors exchange experience and see the demands of the industry.””And based on the results of each championship cycle, the educational standards and college programs are updated in accordance with the needs of the labor market,” noted the Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov.
The finals of the “Professionals” championship will traditionally include a business program. At the site of the federal technopark of professional education, there will be a career guidance zone, as well as an exhibition display.
The final of the “Professionals” championship is a landmark event for the entire country and, of course, for the Nizhny Novgorod region. For us, it is an honor that Nizhny Novgorod is already for the second time becoming the venue for the concluding trials of this competition. The federal technopark in Nizhny Novgorod will for the second time become the venue for the final of the “Professionals” championship in IT and creative industry competencies.

The “Professionals” movement is aimed at supporting talented youth, strengthening personnel potential, and ensuring technological leadership of Russia. It is organized with the support of the Ministry of Education and is implemented within the framework of the federal project “Professionalism” of the national project “Youth and Children.” The federal operator is the Institute for the Development of Professional Education.
The “Professionals” Championship is the largest-scale event in the system of secondary vocational education; the list of competencies is formed in accordance with the demands of the real economic sector.
