Under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, a meeting of the organizational committee on the preparation and holding of the International Tourist Forum “Travel!” was held.

The forum will take place from June 10 to 14, 2026, at VDNH. The organizer is the Roscongress Foundation jointly with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, with the support of the Government of Russia.

“Forum ‘Travel!'” is the main industrial event of the year in the field of tourism. It will be attended by delegations from 75 regions of Russia and more than 30 countries. Among them are China, Cuba, Venezuela, UAE, Vietnam, and others. The main theme of the forum is dedicated to the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia, declared by the decree of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin – “Different Cultures – Common Values: Journeys that Unite People.” It is also important to reflect the theme of patriotic tourism and projects of Heroes of the special military operation – participants of the “Time of Heroes” program during the event.Currently, 2 routes for the exhibition are being formed and guides are being trained. More than 100 volunteers will work on the site daily,” Dmitry Chernyshenko said.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that the entire tourism potential of the country will be presented at the forum, discussions will be held on all key issues of sector development, there will be an opportunity to share the results of work and best practices, find new business partners, including foreign ones.

The size of the “Travel Around the World” site will increase by 50% compared to last year. For the first time, the festival program will include a grand opening of the forum in the form of a festive procession, a celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Kaliningrad region, a large-scale sports zone, and a run at VDNH.

The program of the “Travel!” forum this year consists of three components: a business program, a festival, and an exhibition. The timing of the event is linked to the summing up of the industry’s half-year results and the start of the summer tourist season, with the state holiday – Russia Day – serving as a key temporal landmark.

“The tourism sector demonstrates impressive growth dynamics, confirming its status as one of the most promising sectors of the economy. In 2025, the national project “Tourism and Hospitality” was updated in Russia, the implementation of which contributes to achieving the goals of the Tourism Development Strategy in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2035, aimed at the comprehensive development of both domestic and inbound tourism. The “Travel!” forum in this regard is the most important platform for interaction between the state, business, and all organizations involved in the development of the tourism industry.”The traditional interest of the forum is aroused among citizens who seek to familiarize themselves with the culture and history of their country, to get acquainted with traditions and customs. The business program of the forum is built around 3 blocks: the product as the basis of sustainable development of the industry and increasing the attractiveness of territories, promotion and infrastructure.

Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Vasilyev noted: “The forum this year is not just a report, but a lively conversation about how the state and business are already changing tourism today. We have shifted the focus from words to real projects. The main message of the plenary session: traveling around Russia is accessible, interesting, and convenient right now. We have new hotels, modern trains, and smart services. We have built the entire business program around three simple topics: infrastructure (where to live and how to eat), product (what to surprise with), and promotion (how to tell about it). This is more than 50 sessions and 300 speakers.”The mansion – a youth session on June 12, on Russia Day. We are preparing not boring reports for the guys, but a live game “Who wants to become a traveler?” The Center for Strategic Developments will bring 20 top tour operators from China and India to Russia specifically for the forum so that they can see our new routes with their own eyes.

The central event of the forum’s business program will be the plenary session “Time to Travel: A Variety of Impressions, Accessible to Everyone,” as well as a business dialogue with the head of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, award ceremonies for forum participants, and other events. In addition, within the framework of the forum’s business program, an educational program for regional ministers “Leadership Strategy: Developing Tourism in the Region” is planned.

The platform will feature regions of Russia, foreign countries, tour operators, and other key participants in the tourism industry. The festival’s target audience encompasses a wide range of guests: independent travelers, active tourists, family audiences with children, youth, residents and guests of Moscow, as well as foreign guests.

More than 500 activities will be organized at the stand. An important part of the festival exhibition will be the digital service – the “Mobile Guide.”
