Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, during a working trip to the Krasnoyarsk Territory, held a meeting of the federal organizing committee on the preparation and celebration of the 400th anniversary of the founding of the city of Krasnoyarsk, with the participation of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Mikhail Kotyukov, representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Health, regional authorities, and industry companies.
“Krasnoyarsk is one of the key megacities for the economy of Russia. It possesses a unique industrial, energy, logistical, and cultural potential. Here are located the largest enterprises of metallurgy, mechanical engineering, and high-tech production. Krasnoyarsk is also a developed transport hub. Thanks to the presence of a fundamental scientific base, the city provides not only Krasnoyarsk Krai but also many regions of the country with personnel and innovations,” said Alexander Novak.
The Vice Prime Minister noted that a regional program is being implemented to prepare for and celebrate the 400th anniversary of the founding of the city of Krasnoyarsk in 2028, which includes events for landscaping, construction, and reconstruction of transport infrastructure, cultural and sports facilities. Part of the projects has already been implemented.
The governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Mikhail Kotyukov, announced that this year the city will receive 50 units of new specialized equipment to improve the quality of urban infrastructure maintenance, a program to convert the private sector to modern types of heating continues. Work is underway to organize lighting for residential buildings on main transport arteries: 50 buildings are already equipped, 180 are in process. Construction of eight schools in the city is planned, four of which have already been put into operation. Reconstruction of buildings in the historic part of the city is being carried out.
“The President of Russia pays close attention to the development of the million-plus city of Krasnoyarsk. The capital of the region offers our companies the opportunity to implement advanced projects here for the creation of industrial sites and public spaces,” noted Mikhail Kotyukov.
Following the results of the meeting, the list of priority projects for the implementation of the jubilee celebration, as well as the schedule for the completion of the necessary works, was clarified. The relevant departments and responsible organizations were tasked with ensuring interdepartmental coordination, compliance with established deadlines, and regular monitoring of preparations in all areas.
During a bilateral meeting, Vice Premier and Governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai Mikhail Kotyukov thoroughly discussed the preparations for the capital’s anniversary, the results achieved, promising projects, and directions of work.
Alexander Novak visited several facilities being prepared for the festive date, including the construction site of the metro, the Krasnoyarsk hippodrome, the Central Park, the buildings of Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University and Krasnoyarsk State Agrarian University.
Also, during a working trip to the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Deputy Prime Minister held a meeting with the Governor of the Altai Territory, Viktor Tomenko. The parties discussed the socio-economic development of the region, the implementation of the gasification program of the territory for the period from 2026 to 2030, and support for small and medium-sized businesses in the territory of the subject.
