Almaty, May 18 /Xin Hua/ — The total wage growth of Kazakhstani citizens since 2017 has amounted to 41 percent due to the high GDP growth rates of the country. This was reported on Monday by the Kazinform news agency.

According to the Vice Minister of National Economy Arman Kasenov, in each separate year, GDP growth in real terms exceeded 5%, which is more than one and a half times higher than the global average rates. Since the beginning of 2017, the country’s GDP in real terms has grown by 39%.

Thus, over nine years, Kazakhstan’s economic growth exceeded the real growth of the global GDP, which amounted to 30%. “The government’s goal is to ensure growth rates at the level of 5-6% in the coming years and to reach a GDP of 450 billion dollars by 2029,” noted A. Kassenov.

It was previously reported that the average monthly nominal wage in Kazakhstan for the first quarter of 2026 amounted to 461,486 tenge (about 981.53 US dollars). –0–
