Beijing, May 17 /Xin Hua/ — Chairman of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin separately sent congratulatory letters on Sunday to the 10th China-Russia Expo, which opened in Harbin, the administrative center of Heilongjiang Province /Northeast China/.

Noting that this year marks 30 years since the establishment of Sino-Russian partnership relations and strategic interaction, and 25 years since the signing of the Sino-Russian Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation, Xi Jinping stated that bilateral cooperation in various fields is continuously deepening and strengthening, achieving fruitful results thanks to the joint efforts of both sides.

Si Cinpin in his letter expressed hope that representatives of various sectors of the two countries would take advantage of the current exhibition as an opportunity to utilize the advantages of proximity and complementarity of China and Russia, deepen comprehensive practical cooperation, more effectively promote the socio-economic development of the two countries, continuously improve the well-being of the peoples of the two countries, thereby contributing to the sustainable and long-term development of China-Russia relations as an all-encompassing partnership and strategic interaction in a new era.

V. Putin noted in his letter that EXPO has turned into the largest exhibition event between two countries, becoming a platform for direct and in-depth dialogue between the sides.
