In Kazan, during the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum,” a working meeting was held between the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk and the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev.

The parties discussed a wide range of cooperation issues in a bilateral format and within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, paying special attention to the development of mutual trade, interaction in the field of customs administration, and the expansion of investment cooperation.

In 2025, the trade turnover between the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic exceeded 5 billion dollars, with growth over the past year amounting to almost 26%. “This is a very solid growth, which indicates that the mechanisms that exist with us within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, namely the barrier-free environment, duty-free trade, and the unified customs contour, give their results and create the best conditions for mutual trade,” noted Alexey Overchuk.

Aleksey Overchuk and Daniyar Amangeldiev discussed investment cooperation, including through the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. “This is one of the main financial institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic, which actively participates in investment activities and serves as an effective bridge between Russian and Kyrgyz businesses, a conduit for Russian investments in Kyrgyzstan,” reported the Deputy Prime Minister.

Participants of the meeting confirmed their readiness for further strengthening of cooperation aimed at the sustainable development of Russian-Kyrgyz economic cooperation.
