Work continues on eliminating the consequences of the oil spill following the tanker crashes in the Kerch Strait.

Monitoring of the Black Sea waters, as well as the coast of the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Crimea, is underway. No oil product stains were detected in the area of the crash on the satellite image.

About 3.6 thousand km of coastline have been cleaned from the beginning of the operation, including repeated cleanings. In total, more than 185.8 thousand tons of contaminated sand and soil have been collected.

About 185.3 thousand tons were transported to specialized organizations. All the sand and soil transported for recycling were neutralized or converted into secondary product categories.

The consolidated group of forces and means involved in eliminating the consequences of the emergency situation consists of 789 people and 196 units of equipment.
