Qunchin, May 14 /Xinhua/ — The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, on Wednesday called on Chinese manufacturing enterprises to develop their activities in Tajikistan, to utilize complementary advantages, and to continue promoting the development of trade-economic ties and mutually beneficial cooperation in the future.
E. Rahmon made such a statement during a visit to the city of Chongqing / Southwest China /.
E. Ramon noted that he was deeply impressed by China’s progress in such industries as automobile and motorcycle manufacturing. After arriving in Chongqing on Wednesday, he visited the super factory of the car manufacturer Seres and the industrial park of the motorcycle manufacturer Zonsen Group.
E. Ramon said that Chinese manufacturing enterprises have a high level of automation and intellectualization; the production of these two enterprises made a very good impression on him.
He noted that Tajikistan possesses rich reserves of mineral resources and a sufficient labor force, and that both sides can use each other’s advantages. He welcomed investments from Chinese enterprises and invited them to develop their activities in Tajikistan.
E. Rammon added that Tajikistan is ready to continue deepening bilateral trade and economic contacts and to promote more practical cooperation in the future.
In recent years, trade and economic cooperation between China and Tajikistan has rapidly developed. In 2025, the volume of bilateral trade exceeded 30.8 billion yuan (about 4.5 billion USD), an increase of 12.5 percent in annual terms. -0-
