Recently, an updated International Night Market opened in the city of Heihe in Heilongjiang Province. The city of Heihe is located on the border between China and Russia, opposite the city of Blagoveshchensk — the administrative center of the Amur Region of Russia. The cities are separated by the border river Heilongjiang (Amur).
The international night market “Haixi – Aishui” combines entertainment, shopping, restaurants, and recreational areas, offering residents and tourists a variety of leisure activities in the evening. The market has also become a popular place among Russian tourists, who come to the neighboring Chinese city thanks to the bilateral visa-free regime. This contributes to the development of the night economy of the border region.
