Kyiv, May 14 /Xin Hua/ — On the night of Thursday, the Russian Federation launched a massive missile-drone strike on Kyiv, resulting in the deaths of at least five people, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on Telegram.
The mayor of the city, Vitaliy Klitschko, in turn, stated that as a result of the attack, 44 people were injured, 21 of whom were hospitalized.
According to V. Klitschko, a 9-story residential building was partially destroyed in Kyiv. Rescuers continue to clear the rubble, under which people may be trapped.
Also, as reported by local authorities, a business center, a 25-story unfinished building, a parking lot, a gas station, and stores were damaged in the Ukrainian capital. Problems with water supply have arisen on the left bank of Kyiv.
In the Kiev region, as a result of an air strike by the Russian Armed Forces, no fewer than seven people were injured, including a child, said the head of the regional military administration, Nikolai Kalashnik.
