Moscow, May 13 /Xin Hua/ — Russia guarantees the fulfillment of agreements on the supply of energy carriers to India in full, despite Western pressure and unfair external competition. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in an interview with the RT India TV channel, the text of which was published on Wednesday on the department’s website.
“I guarantee that India’s interests regarding Russian supplies will not suffer. We will do everything to ensure that unfair, dishonest competition does not harm our agreements,” said S. Lavrov.
According to him, the West uses unscrupulous methods of exploitation to force various countries not to buy Russian oil.
“Pressure on all buyers with the demand not to purchase Russian oil is unscrupulous methods. They can be called differently: colonial and neocolonial, but these are methods of exploitation,” noted S. Lavrov. According to him, the essence of these methods is to “force everyone to buy not cheap oil from Russia, but expensive oil and liquefied natural gas in the United States.” “Thus, they strive to rule the world through control of global energy,” stated the Russian Foreign Minister.
“In this regard and in our relations with India, and more broadly in the Eurasian context — within the framework of the SCO — it is important for us to formulate decisions that will ensure security from the risks of such aggressive actions by Western countries aimed at the collapse of the world economy and its subjugation to their selfish goals,” emphasized S. Lavrov.
